Trial Delayed for Keokuk County Sheriff

[1]A Keokuk County judge has delayed the trial of Keokuk County Sheriff Jeff Shipley on a drunken driving charge. Shipley’s trial was to take place October 3, but a judge granted a continuance.
A new trial date has not yet been announced. The judge scheduled a pretrial conference to be held February 15. Iowa online court records indicate Shipley waived his right to a speedy trial.
Shipley was arrested July 27 after being pulled over in Sigourney.
