Trial Date Set for Keokuk County Sheriff

[1]Keokuk County Sheriff Jeff Shipley will appear in court after being arrested for drunken driving. Shipley’s trial has been set for October 3. An Iowa State Patrol trooper arrested Shipley July 27 after it was discovered he was driving under the influence of alcohol in Sigourney.
In an effort to avoid conflict of interest, Keokuk County officials have requested Washington County prosecutors to handle the case.
The trial will still take place in Keokuk County District Court.
