A number of Washington County communities will receive funds from the Washington County Riverboat Foundation as part of its third quarter distribution.  The funds come from the Municipal Grant program.

The city of Ainsworth will receive just under $9,200, the city of Brighton will receive about $10,500, the city of Kalona has been awarded just over $38,000, and the community of Wellman will get just over $22,700.

The amount of funds awarded for the third quarter by the Riverboat Foundation total $221,000.
