The city of Kalona will welcome a new director of Parks and Recreation services.  City Administrator Ryan Schlabaugh says the city hired Jacob Anderson of Harlan, Iowa to be in charge of the city’s ball fields and parks as well as any other programming.

Anderson replaces Caleb Raker, who accepted a position with the University of Iowa Recreation Department after two years with the city.

Anderson graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in Recreational Sports Management, and will begin his work with the city of Kalona Monday.
