The city of Washington is getting ready to look at how last year’s census is going to affect the city’s wards.  City Clerk Illa Earnest says a committee has been formed to start the process of changing the city’s four districts.

The committee consists of Mayor Sandra Johnson, City Clerk Illa Earnest, and at-large Councilors Merle Hagie and Karen Wilson‑Johnson.

The committee has to report all new precincts to the Iowa Secretary of State by September 1st.
