An accident in Henry County has sent one person to the hospital.  According to the Iowa State Patrol, 24 year old Rick Corbisier of Mt. Pleasant was traveling north on Cherry Street and a 17 year old female was on the outside of the vehicle hanging on to the passenger side window.

As the vehicle was moving, the female lost her grip, fell off and was ran over by Corbisier’s 1993 Dakota pickup.  The female was transported to the Henry County Hospital and transferred to the University of Iowa Hospital.

The accident remains under investigation.  Others responding to the scene were Henry County Ambulance and the Henry County Sheriff’s Office.
