A Riverside man has pled not guilty in the murder of a Riverside woman.  70 year old Thomas Lee Hansen has entered the written plea last week at the Washington County Courthouse.  Hansen is accused of shooting 54 year-old Sharon Kay Gerot while she was riding on a lawnmower.

Hansen’s bond was set at two million dollars after the May 1st incident according to Washington County Attorney Larry Brock.  Brock adds that a criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the person charged is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in court.

Hansen’s trial is scheduled to begin in January of next year.  KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
