One of Washington County’s communities has a whole weekend planned celebrating Independence Day. Wellman’s Fourth of July festivities kick off today with a number of outdoor activities, including a bags tournament and a street dance tonight. Organizers say the Wellman Heritage Museum will also be open this afternoon. An auto show fundraiser for the Wellman Baseball Association begins tomorrow morning, and proceeds for event go to helping build a new concession stand at the ball fields. Monday’s festivities include the morning parade at 10:00, games and activities for kids all afternoon, live music by local talent from 6:30 to 9:30, and culminate with the fireworks show at 9:00.
