Overnight Rollover Accident Sends One Person to Hospital

An overnight accident in Washington County has sent one person to the hospital. According to the Iowa State Patrol, 31 year old Rachael Beard of Washington was driving northbound on Highway 218 near Ainsworth just after midnight last night when her vehicle dropped onto the shoulder. She overcorrected and lost control causing her vehicle to roll and come to rest in the roadway.

Beard was transported to the University of Iowa Hospital by Washington County Ambulance. Those assisting at the scene were the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and Crawfordsville First Responders.
