Controlling Mosquitoes after a Wet Spring
Posted: July 12, 2011 @ 6:28 am In Today's Local News
The summer season brings out mosquitoes and with this year’s spring having more than average rainfall has helped to increase the summer’s mosquito population. Chrystal Woller, Program Director with Washington County Public Health says many things can be done at your home to prevent mosquito bites. She says to make sure there is no standing water in your yard and change the water for pets every two to three days.
Woller says bug spray is an important prevention tool, but says the types and uses of different products should be researched before being used. For more information, call Washington County Public Health.
