The Washington County Safety Center says an accident has resulted in over $1500 in damage to one resident’s vehicle. Cara Sorrells with the Safety Center says Jamie Schneider was rear-ended around 3:20 yesterday afternoon at 2^nd Avenue and Washington Street by a tractor trailer driven by Israel Diaz.

Schneider filed a police report for the accident, which caused over $1500 in damage to her car.  Police issued Diaz a citation for failure to stop at an assured and clear distance.

No injuries were reported.
