Those wishing to have the perfect lawn can receive help from the Washington County Extension.  The ISU Extension has horticulture specialists on hand to answer questions related to taking care of lawns during the summer.  This hotline can provide information relating to watering lawns, applying pesticides to maintaining the proper grass height.

The hotline has answered over 200 thousand phone calls since it was first established in 1983.  The hotline is available from 10:00 to noon and 1:00 to 4:30 Monday through Fridays.
