The Washington City Council held a public hearing regarding the proposed changes to the Ordinance regarding ground floor dwelling units in the Downtown district.  Representatives from Main Street Washington and the Washington Chamber both stated they are not in favor of this change.  The Council took no action regarding this change and the proposal fails.

A second reading of the ordinance concerning an increase in water and sewer rates was also read.  A third reading will be held at a future meeting.

A resolution was approved for the specifications and cost estimate for work on Adams Street from 9th Avenue to the end of the road and for a public hearing regarding that project.  The public hearing has been set for Wednesday, July 6th.
