Road work is scheduled to begin just west of Washington today.  Ivy Avenue will be closed to thru traffic between 250th Street and 270th Street for regrading and surfacing. Construction work includes regrading the road to restore the cross sections and improving the ditches and drainage.

The road will then be rocked with nine inches of material. Assistant County Engineer Jacob Thorius says the project is part of Washington County’s Comprehensive Road Project, and weather permitting, should be completed in about two months.

The contractor for the $1 million project was awarded to DeLong Construction, of Washington.
