The WACO Warrior softball team beat Louisa-Muscatine 11-3. WACO Head Coach Shannon Rugg says they spread their runs throughout. He says Devon Gier had a strong night with 4 rbi’s. The Warriors beat Columbus 5-3 on Tuesday so they are off to a 2-0 start. Rugg says it’s an experienced group with several back from last season. He feels they have the right mentality with a very aggressive approach.

Elsewhere in softball, Highland beat Wapello 11-1 in five innings.

Lone Tree beat IMS 10-4.
