The Demons varsity softball team will open their season with a conference doubleheader in Fort Madison. The Demons were supposed to begin the season Wednesday at Columbus but were rained out. The Demons split with Fort Madison last season in their two meetings in the regular season. Washington graduated five seniors from that group.
