County Audit Information

A report from State Auditor David Vaudt shows Washington County brought in over 30 million dollars in tax revenue during the fiscal year that ended June 30th of last year. The report shows the county retained four and a third percent more revenue for county operations versus the last fiscal year.  Washington County spent almost 17 and a half million dollars, less than 1 percent more than last year.

Transportation, public safety and legal services along with physical health and social services were the biggest expenses identified in the state report.  A copy of the report is available at the County Auditor’s office, the State Auditor’s office and can also be found here [1].
