Posted: May 20, 2011 @ 6:22 am In Today's Local News
Area students have one way to get out of the house this summer. The Washington County Extension Office is sponsoring a new summer camp for fourth, fifth, and sixth graders as a lock-in. The camp is called “Olympic Adventures,” and will be held at Crooked Creek Christian Camp. The overnight event will include campfires, basketball, hiking, a climbing wall, and other activities. 4-H Youth Coordinator Amy Adrian says kids will be divided into Olympic teams.
The lock-in will conclude with a special ceremony and awards. The camp begins with check-in on June 8th and children should be arranged to be picked up at 10 the following morning. Space is limited to 40 registrations, and the cost is $20 per camper.
Registrations can be found online on the Washington County Extension website, or at the office.
