The Columbus School Board met last night in regular session and appointed a new treasurer. Superintendent Rich Bridenstine says they are trying to comply with Board policy. He says upon review, they had not appointed a treasurer and by default they become the Board Secretary.
Bridenstine says this policy had been in effect for at least 10 years. He says they also approved a work crew of nine individuals to help with cleaning over the summer. The Columbus School Board meets in the Roundy Elementary School Library in Columbus Junction.
