Residents of Kalona are invited to the Kalona City Hall today to take part in two separate public hearings.  The first hearing will be to discuss proposed flood plain mapping from the Federal Emergency Management Agency.  Personnel from FEMA and the Department of Natural Resources will be available to answer questions.  This public hearing will be from 4:00 to 6:00 today.  The second public hearing will be during tonight’s city council meeting to discuss the fiscal year 2010-2011 budget amendment.  Tonight’s city council meeting and second public hearing starts at 7:30 in the Kalona City Hall.
