The Washington County Fair Swine Committee is offering a production barrow division for this year’s county fair.  Kati Peiffer, 4-H and Youth Coordinator with the Washington County Extension says this is an opportunity for those in 4-H to show production barrows at the Washington County Fair.  She says a beginning weight will be taken for them, and will be weighed again during the fair this summer and they will take a rate of gain on the hogs.

Peiffer says up to 6 hogs can be entered and they cannot weigh over 40 pounds.  The barrow weigh in will be on Saturday, March 26th.  To find out more information regarding the production barrow weigh in, contact the Washington County Extension.
