Description: The rescheduled Optimist Chicken and Biscuit Supper will take place Thursday from 4:30-7 PM at the United Presbyterian Church in Washington. Hot gravied chicken will be served over buttermilk biscuits, salad, fruit cup, and a selection of pies for dessert, drink included. Cost is $9 for adults and $ 4 for children. Under 5 years old are free.

Funeral services for 67 year old Josiah R. Updegraff will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 11, 2011, at Powell Funeral Home in Sigourney. Burial will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Sigourney. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 10, 2011, at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.  A memorial fund has been established for the family.
