The Washington City Council has taken the next step in gaining access into the Mills Seed Building.  During their meeting last Wednesday, the Council heard an update from City Attorney Craig Arbuckle.  Arbuckle stated the city has more than satisfied their due diligence requirements on contacting the building’s owner.  As of the end of business Friday, no answer was received.  Arbuckle says formal proceedings can now begin for entry.  The city has been hoping for entry check on the building’s safety.  The City Council first learned about the building being unsafe in 2009.  The Mills Seed Building was originally located at 604 North 7th Avenue and was moved in February of last year to 212 North Iowa Avenue.
