Columbus and WACO split in basketball matchup

With the kind of weather forecasted for the area tonight, the Columbus Wildcats and WACO Warriors decided to play their varsity basketball games last night and ended up splitting. In the girls game, Columbus was up 18-15 at halftime. The two teams played a close third and fourth quarters and it was the Wildcats that got the win 42-36. For Columbus:
Heaven Chandler 24 points 8 steals
Megan Pretz 6 points 8 rebounds
For WACO:
Michaela Kremer had 9 points and three girls had six points.
Columbus improves to 5-14 and 3-4 in the conference.
On the boys side, WACO beat the Wildcats 50-43. For the Warriors:
Brady Stauffer 16 points 6 rebounds 5 steals
Kendall Leichty 6 rebounds
Christian Roth 5 assists and 5 steals
Collin Poe 4 assists
