Governor Terry Branstad has released information on the state budget and Senator Sandy Greiner says two important things were revealed. She says Governor Branstad mentioned a proposal to reduce commercial property taxes and proposals to fund preschool during his speech yesterday. Brandstad’s budget cuts funding for free preschool, but allows low income parents to pay minimum fees with a voucher system. Senator Greiner says that these are only proposals, and might not be part of the final budget. The final budget will not be ready for quite some time.
