Alliant Energy has announced their customers will see lower electric bills this year.  Spokesman Scott Drzycimski says these lower bills are a result of a decision made by the Iowa Utilities Board to lower electric rates.  Drzycimski says customers will see lower bills for the next three years.  He says customers will see an average of approximately $3.79 per month under this decision.  Drzycimski says the current electric rates will remain steady through 2014.  He notes these lower bills will affect residential customers more than business customers.  To learn more about these lower bills, listen to today’s In Touch With Southeast Iowa Program.
