The Iowa Beef Center at Iowa State University is inviting cattle feeders to risk and margin management workshops this winter. Russ Euken, ISU Extension beef program specialist, says producers will learn about risk management tools like futures, options and livestock insurance, and how to use those tools in their operations.  Registration is $25 per person and is payable at the door, but pre registration is required to ensure adequate materials for attendees.  The Fairfield date is January 12, 2011 from 10am to 3pm at the extension office.  You can pre register by contacting Jefferson County Extension beef specialist Byron Leu at bleu@iastate.edu ^[1] or 641-472-4166 at least three days before the workshop date.
