The WACO Warrior football team became a Dome Team in 2010. The Warriors graduated 14 seniors from their 09 squad, but this year they had 11 seniors to step up and they enjoyed success. They did it with quite a stingy defense. The Warrior defense, had 47 take aways on the season, 24 fumble recoveries and 23 interception. Bodhi Eagle had eight interceptions which was three away from the school record. On offense Warrior running back Spencer Shepherd rushed for 1,761 yards and scored 23 touchdowns. He set the record for career rushing yards. Fullback Justin Freyenberger rushed for 587 yards and Jordan Vradenburg 401 touchdowns. For WACO, Head Coach Chad Edeker says they set the school record for most wins in a season with 12 and it was the first time they reached the semifinal round since the multiple round playoff system has been in place.
