Fairfield Man Escapes Custody, Apprehended

A Fairfield man who escaped from custody at the University of Iowa Hospitals Tuesday night has been apprehended in Bettendorf. According to the Jefferson County Attorney’s office, 20 year-old Anthony Michael Koehlhoeffer escaped from the hospital late Tuesday evening, forced a woman from her car and had left the area.

Koehlhoeffer’s is facing several charges stemming from a McDonald’s robbery and burglary in Fairfield on October 3rd and the Pilot Grove Savings Bank robbery on October 29th.

Mr. Koehlhoeffer is currently in the custody of Davenport Police.

KCII will continue to monitor this situation and we will bring you more information as it becomes official.
