Yesterday at the weekly Board of Supervisors meeting, the board members approved the certificate of appointment for a Civil Process Server.  According to Sheriff Jerry Dunbar, this allows jailers as well as deputies to serve court papers to inmates.  The board also established a date for a public hearing regarding the Richmond sanitary sewer project.  The date for that public hearing will be at 7:00 pm Thursday, January 13, 2011 in the Kalona Community Center.  The Board of Supervisors meet each Tuesday at 9:30 am in the Washington County Courthouse.
