School Dress Codes not a Problem in South East Iowa
Posted: November 3, 2010 @ 6:23 am In Today's Local News
School Dress Codes may be a problem in other areas but not in south east Iowa. Recently the Waterloo School District tried to implement a policy that dealt with what kids can wear. Mid-Prairie and Keota Superintendent Mark Schneider says at both schools the policy’s deal with things kids can’t wear. He says kids can’t wear anything that promotes tobacco, drug use or alcohol use. Schneider says they don’t stipulate what kids can wear, but he can understand where the Waterloo School district is coming from with a larger district. Schneider says they haven’t had any problems with the school dress code at Mid-Prairie or Keota School Districts.
