The Richmond to Kalona trail is under progress with the beginning plans for fund raising. Lyle Moen with the Washington County Recreational Trails Committee says plans are about 95% complete with cost estimates at about 1.3 million dollars. He says right now the project rests on funding capabilities. The proposed trail has many natural features to enhance the experience of trail users. Anticipated construction is in 2012.
