Public Measures Pass in Washington County

The two Washington County Public Measures on the ballot during yesterday’s election have passed. Public Measure B regarding the continued operation of the Riverside Casino passed with 6,641 yes votes to 1,914 no votes. In the Public Measure A decision, the E911 charge increase, passed by receiving over 900 yes votes to no’s. In other contested local races, Mark Robe won the seat for the next council member for the City of Kalona by defeating Greg Schmidt. Gordon Shelangoski won the Brighton Township Trustee Race by defeating Dick Wehr and Michael Murphy. For all local race results, visit kciiradio.com
