Mahlon A. Miller

Funeral services for 86 year old Mahlon A. Miller of Kalona will be at 10 Tuesday (11/9) morning at the Sunnyside Conservative Mennonite Church in Kalona. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in rural Kalona. Visitation will be from 2-8 pm on Monday (11/8) at the Yoder-Powell Funeral Home in Kalona where the family will greet friends from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A memorial has been established for Sunnyside Conservative Mennonite Church Missions.

Leah Herring

Funeral services for 92 year old Leah Herring of Lone Tree will be at 10:00 Wednesday (11/10) morning at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Hills. Burial will take place at the St. Stanislaus in rural Hills. Visitation will be held at the Sorden-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Lone Tree from 4-7 pm on Tuesday (11/9) with a prayer service at 7.

WACO stamps ticket to UNI Dome

The WACO Warriors were in Lisbon last night in quarterfinal action taking on a team they played at the end of the regular season for the district championship.

So who will the Warriors be playing? North Tama and Newman Catholic, Mason City were the late game in the UNI-Dome last night, they were scheduled to kick off at 8:45.
