Spencer sets course record at IMS meet

IMS hosted their cross country meet yesterday at Wellman Golf Course. On the boys side, top ranked in 1A IMS finished third as a team. Solon took first and Mid-Prairie second. Fairfield ended up fifth and the Washington Demons ninth. Individually IMS’ Bill Spencer won with a time of 16:16, which lowered the course record by 32-seconds. Seth Miller finished 21st and Cody Miller 25th. For the Demons boys Noah Lebsack finish 12th with a time of 17:48. Kyle Cox didn’t run.
On the girls side, Solon took first, Williamsburg second and Lone Tree third, Fairfield fourth, Mid-Prairie fifth, and Washington sixth. Individually, Mid-Prairie’s Sofia Chmaruk took third running 16:01. For IMS, Madeline Miller was 20th and Elana Gingerich 38th. For the Demons Regan Enfield finished 26, and Mariah Righard 29th 17:31. Now Demon Head Coach Ryan Gratz says they have off until they host the conference meet a week from Thursday and the district/regional meet will be a week after that. He says it will be nice to have some time in between to work on somethings.
