The Fairfield Police Department is reporting that at approximately 5:15am Sunday a robbery was reported by an employee at the McDonald’s Restaurant located at 1705 W. Burlington. Captain Tony Hammes says the subject assaulted one employee and ordered the safe to be opened and fled shortly after. The subject is being described as a male, approximately 6 feet tall with a slim build, wearing a a dark colored hoodie, ski mask, camo pants and black cotton gloves. Hammes says there was one injury, but did not say how severe the injuries were. Hammes says they are also not releasing if the subject took any thing.
