Alliant Energy Customers Can Expect Winter Prices To “Stay Flat”

Alliant Energy says natural gas customers “should see winter heating bills stay flat.” Winter heating costs are expected to be “about the same as last year” at $620 for the six-month period from October 1 through March 31, a 16% decrease from the winter of 2008-2009.  The forecast is based on the current market, the percentage of gas costs that are already fixed through storage or locked-in contract prices, and normal winter weather.  For more information on natural gas and energy efficiency tips visit alliantenergy.com/naturalgas [1].
