Funeral services for 72 year old James H. “Jim” Godwin of Washington will be held at 10:30 am at the St James Catholic Church in Washington. Burial will take place at Memory Gardens in Iowa City. Visitation will begin at noon Tuesday at the Jones Eden Funeral Home with the family present from 6:00-8:00pm Tuesday. A memorial has been established to Hospice of Washington County or Friends of Lake Darling.

Funeral services for 94 year old Alice Franklin of Washington will be held at 10:30am Wednesday at the Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington. Burial will take place at the Elm Grove Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9:30am Monday with the family present from 9:30-10:30 am Monday morning at the Jones Eden Funeral Home. A memorial has been established to PAWS and More Animal Shelter or charity of donor’s choice.

Funeral services for 87 year old Clara Anne Pearson of Washington will be held at 1:30pm Wednesday at the Jones Eden Funeral Home in Washington. Burial will take place at the Elm Grove Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon Tuesday at the Jones Eden Funeral Home with the family present from 6:30- 8:00pm. A memorial has been established to Hospice of Washington County.

Riverside Ordered To Resume Payments To Washington County

A judge has ordered the City of Riverside to pay Washington County $350,000 and continue with yearly $175,000 repayments for more than $9 million in Tax Increment Financing Bonds that were used to upgrade Riverside’s sewer and water system in connection with the building of the Riverside Casino And Resort.

Washington County Board of Supervisors To Meet A Day Earlier To Accommodate Election
