A tour of Washington County barn quilts is scheduled for October 1^st. “Washington County:  It’s land, People and Art” is the focus of the tour, led by Washington County Historian Michael Zahs.  Highlights of the tour include a stop at the Ainsworth Opera House, Kalona’s quilt museum and an Amish lunch.  For more information or to reserve a spot on the chartered bus for $65, call Maggie Roth at 653.3830.  The barn quilt tour begins at 7:30 am in the Washington Hy-Vee parking lot on Friday, October 1^st.
