Harold Strum

Services for 90 year old Harold Strum of Kalona will be 1:30 pm Saturday (10/2) at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington.  Visitation begins at Noon tomorrow (10/1) at the Jones Eden Funeral Home in Washington with the family present from 5 to 8 pm.  A memorial has been established to Paws and More, the United Methodist Church and the Brownlee Health Center.

Ainsworth Community Church Garage Sale

The Ainsworth Community Church Garage Sale is coming up November 5-6… Times for the sale are Friday November 5th: 8a-6p and Saturday November 6th 9a-1p. Items for sale include clothing, shoes, purses, dishes, books decorations, bedding, knick knacks, Jewelry and much more.

Ainsworth Mission Committee News

The Ainsworth Mission Committee has almost completed shopping for the items for the In Gathering on the first Saturday in November. However the church is still looking for donations of money to help pay for the kits. They also need someone to sew 12 bags to put school kits in. They will supply the dimensions, material, thread and pre-made handles. All they need is someone to assemble them. If you have any questions about the kits or would like to sew them, call Kathi at 657-2387.

Rememberence time at Ainsworth Church

There will be a Time for Remembrance at the Ainsworth Community Church on October 24th during worship time; they will be celebrating the lives of those they have lost this past year. If you would like to include the picture of someone you have lost and would like to honor, please get the picture to Kitch by Oct. 17th. It will be included in a special segment of the worship service.

Sunday Oct. 24th is Celebration Sunday at the Ainsworth Community Church. They will be honoring Dorothy Koehler with a reception following the morning worship hour. She has retired as pianist/organist.
