Keokuk County Establishes 4-H Endowment

Iowa Business Council Nominations being accepted

Nominations for the Iowa Partners in Efficiency Award will be accepted through Thursday September 30th.  The Award was established to recognize employees that use techniques to increase productivity.  Elliot Smith, executive director with the Iowa Business Council says they want to recognize those that foster better work environments.

Smith says the Iowa Business Council for many years has had a focus on installing a culture in the public sector of fostering better work environments and drive efficiency.

To apply you can go to www.iowabusinesscouncil.org.  The award will be presented in Des Moines during the Iowa Business Council’s 25th Annual Partnership meeting on January 31st.

Fairfield Public Forum on Community Safety

State Senator Becky Schmitz of Fairfield is hosting a Public Forum on Community Safety next week. They will be discussing new laws passed to make communities safer, including laws craking down on sex offenders, preventing domestic violence murders, banning texting while driving and more. The Forum will be held Thursday September 16th at 11am at Revelations in the upstairs room at  112 North Main Street.

American Quilters Bus Trip
