Winfield, Iowa based Grasshorse Technologies, Inc won first place at the 2010 Dragon*Con Independent Film Festival for Animated Short-Short. Grasshorse won over 10 other finalists nation wide earlier this month at the festival held in Atlanta Georgia for their animated short film, “the Sacrifice.” Meiklejohn says the award represents a lot of hard work done by the company, and they are honored to receive an award that represents a lot of talent coming out of their company.

Meiklejohn says the “The Sacrifice” is a retelling of the story, St. George and the Dragon, and was judged based on criteria related to quality of design and animated content. Grasshorse Technologies is a animation, design and technology company based in Winfield.
