Act Now To Save Money On Winter Heating Costs
Posted: September 20, 2010 @ 6:28 am In Today's Local News
The Iowa Utilities Board says now is an “ideal time to weatherize your … home” with low-cost air leak solutions such as caulk and weather-stripping materials. Alliant Energy serves the Washington County area. Spokesman Justin Foss says gas heating customers can qualify for a free home energy audit to examine insulation levels and others ways to save money this winter. Foss also recommends having your furnace inspected and says customers can also receive a $30 credit to offset servicing costs that normally run $50 to $100.
