Iowa’s State Treasurer has named Washington area residents in the “Great Iowa Trea$ure Hunt”. Michael Fitzgerald says each year millions of dollars are left unclaimed by Iowa residents, and since 1983 the Treasure Hunt program has returned over $122 million to 310,000 rightful owners.  Fitzgerald has provided KCII with a list of over 80 Washington residents that are owed anywhere from a few hundred dollars to more than $12,000.  More information on the Great Iowa Trea$ure Hunt is available at GreatIowaTreasureHunt.com.
