New details are available for a weekend fire at a Washington residence. Friday night at approximately 10 pm, KCII reported live from the scene of a lightning strike at 311 East Main Street. Tom Fees, a renter of one of the home’s five rental units, was home when lightning struck his building’s roof and told KCII rain kept flames small until the fire department arrived. The attic apartment was vacant at the time of the fire, and the Washington County Public Safety Center enter now reports no one was displaced from their rental unit or injured in the accident.
