Several area teams will have sports drink scrimmages tonight. Columbus, WACO, Sigourney-Keota, Mid-Prairie, Highland and Lone Tree all have meet the players and scrimmages planned if it doesn’t rain. Teams will kick off their season a week from tonight except for Winfield-Mount Union who was suppose to play Van Buren in week one but Van Buren won’t field a varsity team this year because of low numbers. The Wolves will use the extra week to practice.
