Shawn French Of Kalona Remains In Police Custody.

A Kalona man has been arrested and charged with first degree theft in connection with missing ATM money. The Johnson County Sheriff’s office says 30 year old Shawn French of Kalona was in charge of multiple ATM machines that had more than $11,000 in shortages from June 9^th through July 6^th.  A Johnson County criminal complaint reports during an interview with investigators, French admitted he “took the money”.  French remains in police custody at this time.
