High school football practices across Iowa began on Monday, today is the first day teams can put the pads on for practice. Mid-Prairie Head Coach Pete Cavanaugh says there’s definitely a difference, before you have the pads he says the main focus is conditioning and timing, but when you put the pads on you can see who can be a physical player for you. The Golden Hawks reached the playoffs last year and lost to the eventual state champs Solon. They open the season August 27th hosting the Demons.
