Celebrate Washington This Weekend

Celebrate Washington is tomorrow in the city square from 10 am to midnight. The day begins at with a community breakfast, $6 per person, three years and younger free, at the YMCA from 8 to 10:30. An art show, kids activities, other entertainment and a beer tent continue through the afternoon, with a street dance starting at 5. The dance continues all night long, with headlining entertainment taking the stage from 7 pm until midnight. Main Street Washington Program Director Amy Vetter says Celebrate Washington is a signature event for the city, designed to attract residents and visitors into the community for a full day. In addition to Celebrate Washington, Unc & Neph’s Food and Brew is holding its annual “Dancing Under The Stars” event from 8 pm to midnight at 1015 West Madison Street with a beer tent and local musicians Whiskey Rebellion.
