Riverside Casino and Resort says it’s promoting responsible gambling and working to identify customers that gamble to much or have an addiction. Chief Operating Officer Joe Massa says the Riverside Casino participated in last week’s “Responsible Gambling Week”, a campaign organized by the Iowa Gaming Association.  Massa says the casino can use customer behavior, such as writing multiple bounced checks, to determine if someone has a gambling addiction, and is sometimes asked by family members to intervene with problem gamblers that use the casino.  Massa says Riverside Casino works with a gambling treatment provider that has a booth with free materials and information for anyone who is interested or has a gambling problem.
